Good Morning Good Night.
“As they chase the beat in their career, two aspiring musicians struggle to find their rhythm together when they strum each other's heartstrings.”
Between two phases of the film, there are two different color tones that I applied here: orange for warm, and teal and blue for cool. While orange gives off a nostalgic and soft, cozy feel, teal and blue create a sense of calm and peace. It is an effective way to allow audiences to dive deeper into the storytelling and character understanding.
Pushing everything more urgently with the heart being warmed and their current struggles, the warm tone visibly appears in almost two-thirds of the movie.
When the ending closes with peace settled among the characters, both of them make their own decisions and are satisfied with the ones they choose. Whether they are fast-paced changes or the characters' mindsets and calmness, they are remarkably depicted with Teal and Blue colors.
With all my personal thoughts and feelings, that's the way I used to color grade this movie.
